My belief is that we are nothing without our Sista-Friends. I am known for being so passionate about my LADIES, most especially those who have travelled with me on my incredible journey and continue to do so with much love and grace.
We have hurt, mourned, cried, laughed and rejoiced together. I can stand and honestly proclaim that nothing can keep me away from them unless death doth us part. This is like a marriage and I love it.
The sista-friends I know and have in my life are strong women from all cultures, – daring, adventurous, strong-willed, resilient, hard-working, dedicated, committed, loyal, faithful, loving, supportive, sincere, spiritual and the list goes on and on.
I came across an extract of Celebrating Womanhood stored away in my archive of goodies and so here it goes to all the Sista-Friends across the world (you know who you are).
YOU ARE A WOMAN OF STRENGTH
A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape but a woman of strength kneels in prayer to jeep her soul in shape.
A strong woman is not afraid of anything but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear.
A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her but a woman of strength gives the nest of her to everyone.
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future but a woman of strength realises that life’s mistakes can also be God’s blessings and capitalises on them.
A strong woman walks sure-footed but a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.
A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face but a woman of strength wears grace.
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.
To SistaHood: I celebrate YOU because you have helped me become who I am today!
Yours in love – The Renaissance Lady ©
