Happy Thanksgiving with a Grateful Heart Always

happy-thanksgiving-1As Canadians and the North Americans celebrate another Thanksgiving – a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year and most especially for everything they have in their lives; we join them in the celebration as Thanksgiving is a daily action that must be undertaken for the numerous things we have all experienced and are experiencing.

I will like for us all to pause and consider why expressing gratitude to God is important not just Thanksgiving Day but every day. Personally, it is an expression of the goodness of God in my life as I am so thankful for God’s graciousness, steering me toward His ultimate good for my life. For years I’ve had people I admire like ‘Oprah Winfrey’ and  ‘Udo Maryanne Okonjo’ advocate the power and pleasure of constantly being grateful and keeping a daily gratitude journal. I have tried to keep one for over a full decade but life just always got so busy and my daily schedule simply overwhelmed me that I had no time for any-time else.

But experiences this year so far have opened my eyes to the end of procrastination and blessed-and-gratefulI have decided that it can no longer be an excuse as I know for sure that appreciating whatever shows up for me in life changes my personal vibration. If I hope to maintain a grateful spirit, I must find a consistent motivation. Otherwise, my thankfulness will ebb and flow according to the current conditions around me thus I will radiate and generate more goodness for myself when I’m aware of all I have and not focusing on my have-nots. So my 2017 gratitude journal is ready for take-off.

In the meantime, I have decided to share my regular thanksgiving scriptures and why I am forever thankful.

Psalm 136:1-3

for his steadfast love endures forever.
