Apologies for the late post but been bogged down with other projects img_8616which will be posted real soon but in the meantime, life goes on. Anyway back to this journey of the Rebirth – the Renaissance, I made up my mind this year to think out of the box in all I do – thus this blog-header was added to my 2018 manifesto: Think & Ask BIG!

What is thinking, some may ask? When I searched via Google – it stated that ‘Thinking is the process of considering or reasoning about something or using thought or rational judgement.’

‘Thinking big’ means being able to dream and visualise what you can achieve on a large scale: with no limits on your thinking. It is about being open-minded, positive, creative and seeing opportunity in the big picture.

Some believe that “thinking big” means you should set wildly ambitious stretch goals to inspire yourself to greater heights. But it is not: ‘thinking big’ means that we have to step out of our comfort zone and walk into the uncomfortable. Set attainable goals every day of your life.

Thinking big is not easy. It’s something that we must learn to cultivate over time on a daily basis in everything we do. However, even when this habit of thinking big is deeply ingrained into our psyche, there will still be times when barriers will need to be overcome, obstacles will need to be surpassed, and old habits will need to be broken. It is during these times that we need to think big and do bigger things than ever before. It is easier written than done eh.

To have that positive mental attitude of thinking big – having a strong network of friends is essential. Have that positive network is crucial to one’s growth. They are one to help empower and uplift you to your best potential by ‘keeping it real’ (as the millennial will say). “Often, when we’re asking people to support us, we’re just asking for approval. But if we’re looking for results, we have to be comfortable with the feedback of people asking us to think bigger.” We need to have those who can boldly say NO whenczlgbyawkaanpvo it is needed and also pat us on the back for a job well done. I have an inner circle of people who know when to say Yes or No to this strong-minded lady called Yvonne.

Whether we want to hear it or not, sometimes other people determine whether or not, we are to be successful. So thinking Big requires understanding that the biggest and most meaningful projects simply can’t be accomplished on your own. “Other people are going to open the doors and spread your messages.” So how can you get others involved and inspired to help? It’s all about attitude and reliability, “You make commitments and fulfill them, you learn in action, and you deal with [your own] voices of judgement without being critical of others.”

Finally, big thinkers associate with other big thinkers who are ambitious, motivated and inspire others to think BIGGER, act BIGGER and become BIGGER than they ever imagined was possible.

Truth! One boy, One girl.
Unbeknown to them with a shared family history.
Same father, different mothers.
Met on the streets, interacted, exchanged numbers.
Fell in love within a month, did the deed within three.
What just happened?
An abomination – unheard of in society!
Incense – a taboo – unspoken word!
A major outrage – unspeakable!
“However we are in love”, they say.
How wrong were they?
Who said that love supersedes all, they lied.
Who said that love was meant to be free, they lied.
But you cannot control your heart or can you now?
Truth! Love is a key!
You can either open your heart to the world,
Or shut and suppress it.
You can also protect yourself from life problems.
It’s your choice after all.
But lessons to be learned – let the truth be known.
Love sure doesn’t hold any Boundaries!

Every day, we have the choice to tell the truth or not. We can be honest with ourselves about who we are and the challenges we face, or we can lie about it. That’s a choice that’s up to you and me. It only takes one voice to create change.

img_3537Telling the truth is a very good habit. If you always speak the truth, you can save yourselves from lots of trouble! Let’s say you’re facing an important decision or dealing with a certain problem, and you don’t know what to do. Where do you begin? Stop lying. That’s a good place to start.

But no matter what, the answer is always honesty. Integrity, though sometimes costly, ultimately wins. The problem is not always so simple, and neither is the solution. Always speak out in TRUTH regardless of the end outcome. We are all waiting for the truth, and so few people are willing to tell it.

Some Quotes About Truth Telling:

  • “Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world…would do this, it would change the earth.” – William Faulkner
  • “Truth never damages a cause that is just.” – Mahatma Gandhi 601862
  • “Integrity is telling myself the truth. And honesty is telling the truth to other people.” – Spencer Johnson
  • “If an offense come out of the truth, better is it that the offense come than that the truth be concealed.” – Thomas Hardy, Tess of the D’Urbervilles
  • “Honesty is more than not lying. It is truth telling, truth speaking, truth living, and truth loving.” – James E. Faust
  • “We tend to be judged because of our actions.” – Roxy Writer

So I challenge you all including to walk and talk in truth. You can never take that away from ME – My Truth! My Voice!!
